Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #3448, Certified Sex Therapist, EMDR Therapist and Consultant, AAMFT Supervisor
Sexual concerns, past traumas, anxieties, self-doubt, and unhelpful communication patterns can leave us feeling stuck. I help people remove the roadblocks that keep them from having fulfilling connections with the people who matter most in their lives. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples feel empowered. People who work with me often describe my style as calm, empathetic, straightforward, and insightful.

  • As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have specific training in relational therapy. I strive to help couples deepen their emotional and sexual relationship. I enjoy working with couples to repair wounds and strengthen their attachment. Couples work with me on communication issues, family planning,  parenting concerns, infidelity, the impact of addiction, sexual concerns, non-traditional relationship structures, premarital therapy and more. My advanced training in couples therapy includes training in Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. I use an integrative, systemic approach to couples therapy and approach all my relational work through a trauma-informed lens.

I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist trained to work with a wide variety of sexual concerns including; desire discrepancies in couples, arousal and orgasm concerns, pain during intercourse, sexual anxiety, gender and sexual identity exploration, and the impact of sexual abuse. I am committed to creating a safe and affirming environment for all individuals and relationships. I am LGBQTI + affirming, sex worker allied, non-monogamy and kink aware, anti-racist, feminist and trauma informed.

People often find me to work through trauma. I have a special interest in helping people heal from sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. I am an EMDR therapist which is specific, research-based trauma therapy. I also have advanced training in complex trauma and dissociation using the AIR Network model of therapy. I work with my clients to create a soft, yet structured space for the exploration of themselves within and beyond their trauma experience.

My passion is supporting people in finding their strength as they grow and heal. Whether you're working on relationship problems, sexual concerns, anxiety, depression, or trauma; we will work together to find solutions that honor the uniqueness of your experience.

In addition to therapy, I also offer professional supervision and consultation services to therapists. You can learn more about LMFT supervision and EMDR consultation here.

When I am not at work you might find me curled up with a book, walking my dog around South Minneapolis, eating good food with my husband, and spending time with my four kids.
